WASHINGTON – Saint Louis University seniors
Brae Sanchez and
Logan Townsend have been selected to the 10-member Atlantic 10 Conference men's swimming and diving All-Academic team by a vote of the A-10's sports information representatives, the league announced Friday.
It is the second A-10 All-Academic honor for Sanchez following his 2024 selection.
Sanchez carries a 3.896 cumulative grade point average as a physical therapy major. At the 2026 A-10 Championships, he captured the silver medal in the 100 breaststroke, scored with a 10th-place finish in the 200 breaststroke, was a member of the Billikens' fourth-place 400 medley relay team that set a school record, and swam on SLU's 200 medley relay squad. Sanchez was the A-10 Performer of the Week for Oct. 6-12 and collected nine victories in breaststroke events and four relay wins during the regular season.
Townsend is an accounting major with a 3.883 GPA. He was a member of Saint Louis' 800 freestyle relay team that claimed the bronze medal at the 2026 A-10 Championships, where he also scored in two individual events (sixth, 200 freestyle and 12th, 100 freestyle), swam on the fourth-place 400 medley relay team that clocked a school record, and competed in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Townsend posted four victories in individual freestyle events and was part of seven winning relays during the regular season.
