ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
·Saint Louis returns nine players from its 2025 team that registered a 34-24 overall record (second-most wins in program history). The Billikens finished second (18-7) in the A-10 regular-season standings before winning the A-10 Championship and advancing to the NCAA Championship, both for the first time.
·SLU's top returning player is senior catcher/utility Abby Mallo, who was a second-team All-Region selection, A-10 co-Player of the Year and A-10 Championship Most Outstanding Player a season ago. Mallo set an A-10 record and ranked fifth nationally with 82 RBIs in 2025, and her 20 home runs ranked 23rd nationally while tying the conference mark.
·Also among the returnees are junior pitcher Isabel Royle, a 2025 A-10 Championship All-Tournament performer; junior infielder Abby Ulsas and junior outfielder Karsen Jany, who started 58 and 54 games, respectively, in 2025; and two A-10 All-Rookie selections in redshirt sophomore pitcher/utility Anna Christ and sophomore catcher/pitcher Scout Gallagher.

HEAD COACH CHRISTY CONNOYER
·Now in her 16th season at the helm, 2023 and 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year Christy Connoyer owns 387 Saint Louis victories. The Billikens' 95 wins from 2023 to 2025 are the most during a three-year span in program history.
·In addition to last year's A-10 Championship triumph and NCAA Tournament appearance, Connoyer guided the 2023 Billikens to the program's first regular-season conference title.

SCOUTING MONTANA
·Montana of the Big Sky Conference is coming off an 8-42 season. The Grizzlies returned eight letter winners, including three position starters and one pitcher, from last year's team. Among Montana's 15 newcomers is junior right-hander Kaiana Kong, the 2025 Great Northwest Athletic Conference (NCAA Division II) Pitcher of the Year and a third-team All-American. Kong posted a 31-3 record and a 1.42 ERA in two seasons at Western Washington.

SCOUTING UC SAN DIEGO
·Playing just its fifth season as an NCAA Division I member in 2025, UC San Diego of the Big West Conference turned in a 16-32 record. The Tritons feature three All-Big West honorable mention selections from a year ago in senior catcher/third baseman Lily Hermosillo, junior infielder Zara Wasserman and sophomore infielder Alexis Jimenez. Sophomore first baseman Maalia Cherry is expected to provide a lift after hitting .336 with 13 home runs and 37 RBIs at Cal State Bakersfield last year. Cherry was named to the 2026 D1 Softball Preseason Mid-Major Top 100 (No. 91).

SCOUTING WAGNER
·A Northeast Conference member, Wagner posted a 15-26 record last season. Three returning Seahawks earned 2025 NEC postseason honors -- sophomore infielder Taylor Reynolds (first team), junior left-handed pitcher Karson Zavala (second team) and sophomore infielder Alayna Giampolo (All-Rookie).

UP NEXT FOR THE BILLIKENS
·Saint Louis competes in the Skyhawk Invitational, hosted by UT Martin and scheduled for Friday-Sunday, Feb. 13-15. The Billikens will face UT Martin (twice), Valparaiso (twice) and Mississippi Valley State.
