WASHINGTON – Saint Louis is projected to finish third in the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference softball race in preseason polling of A-10 head coaches, the league announced Friday.
 
The Billikens, who placed second in the 2025 regular-season standings before capturing the A-10 Championship title, received two of the nine first-place votes and tallied 62 points.
 
With five first-place votes and 75 points, 2025 A-10 Championship runner-up Fordham is this year's preseason favorite. Dayton, the 2025 regular-season champion, matched Saint Louis with two first-place nods and landed second in the poll with 68 points.
 
Saint Joseph's (50 points) is fourth in the preseason prediction, followed by George Washington (44), Loyola Chicago (38), George Mason (34), Rhode Island (20) and St. Bonaventure (14).
