NEWS & NOTES

  • The Billikens defeated George Washington 79-76 at Chaifetz Arena earlier this season on a last-second 3-pointer by Robbie Avila. The Revolutionaries led for the majority of the contest and had a 15-point lead at one point before the Billikens rallied for the win. Trey Green (23), Avila (22) and Kellen Thames (15) all scored in double figures for the Bills.
  • This is the first game of the tournament for the Billikens. George Washington played Thursday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating Fordham 66-62 in the second round.
  • SLU owns a 20-17 all-time record in A-10 Championship tilts and has won at least one game in the last nine A-10 Championships.

  • SLU is within striking distance of the A-10 record for season 3s. The Bills enter the A-10 Championship needing 14 more 3-pointers to surpass the A-10 record of 353 by Davidson in 2017-18.
  • Robbie Avila was named the A-10 Player of the Year and first-team All-Conference. Three Billikens earned third-team All-Conference honors – Trey Green, Amari McCottry and Kellen Thames.
