BILLIKENS HOST RHODE ISLAND IN THREE-GAME WEEKEND SET
·Saint Louis (13-17, 5-4 A-10) welcomes Rhode Island (5-13, 1-5 A-10) to the Billiken Sports Center for a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series March 28-29. Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game begin at noon.
·The first 100 fans at Saturday's twin bill will receive a Billiken windbreaker.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
·In its most recent outing, SLU fell 1-0 at Lindenwood March 25.
·A 2-1 series victory at Loyola Chicago March 21-22 lifted Saint Louis to 5-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, tying George Washington for fourth place.
·The Billikens lead the league with 46 doubles, 119 RBIs, six shutouts, 10 sacrifice flies and 112 walks. SLU's six shutouts rank 25th in the nation.
·Abby Mallo (.291), Karsen Jany (.290) and Abby Ulsas (.290) are battling for the team lead in batting average.
·Mallo and Christ are tied for the team lead with five home runs. Mallo leads a tight RBI race with 18, followed by Christ and Jany with 17 and Ulsas with 16. Kate Proffitt also is in double figures with 12.
·Jany and Ulsas lead the Bills and are second in the A-10 with nine doubles apiece.
·Mallo has a league-high 28 walks and is eighth nationally with 0.93 walks per game.
·Riley Nelson has a league-leading three shutouts, ranking 23rd nationally, and owns a 3.20 ERA.
·Ulsas and Sophia Boente are tied atop the A-10 with four sacrifice bunts.
·Ulsas ranks 35th nationally with 2.43 assists per game.
·Christ has moved up to fourth in the A-10 with a 2.63 ERA.
·Isabel Royle is tied for fourth in the conference with five wins.

HEAD COACH CHRISTY CONNOYER
·Now in her 16th season at the helm, 2023 and 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year Christy Connoyer owns 400 Saint Louis victories. The Billikens' 95 wins from 2023 to 2025 are the most during a three-year span in program history.
·In addition to last year's A-10 Championship triumph and NCAA Tournament appearance, Connoyer guided the 2023 Billikens to the program's first regular-season conference title.
 
SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
·Rhode Island, which was picked to finish eighth in the A-10 coaches' preseason poll, was swept by Saint Joseph's and dropped two of three vs. St. Bonaventure to begin conference play.
·Most recently, the Rams lost both games of a non-conference doubleheader to Brown on Wednesday.
·Freshman catcher Brooke Fairbanks sports a .500 batting average. Senior catcher Kylie Bulinski (.385), senior outfielder Hannah Hernandez (.326), junior outfielder/catcher Sydney Orndorff (.310) and senior infielder Becca Zawistowski (.283) also are significant contributors to Rhode Island's .260 team batting average.
·Bulinski has team highs of 10 RBIs and a .568 on-base percentage.
·Senior left-hander Ashley Hibbard carries a team-best 2.47 ERA and averages a strikeout per inning. Sophomore left-hander Brooke Gerry checks in at 3.78, and junior left-hander Avery Vale-Cruz owns a team-leading three wins.
