ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis competed in three meets this weekend came away with four new school records.
The Billikens competed in a pair of home meets – the SLU Speed/Power Festival on Friday night and the Billiken Invitational on Saturday. SLU also competed in the WashU Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday.
Clara Gillen got things started for SLU, capturing the school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday at WashU, finishing in 10:50.20. She bettered the previous school record set last season by teammate Emily Morden.
Tristan Boatman recorded two new school records this weekend. He reached 60.17 meters in the hammer throw to better his previous school record. In the shot put, he posted a mark of 16.10 meters to exceed Diego Collado's previous school record set in 2023.
Finally, Sam Lamaze once again broke his own school record in the 400 meters. In Saturday's Billiken Invitational, he finished in a time of 46.89 to break his previous record set just last week. He has competed in the 400 meters three times so far this season and has finished first in all three.
The Billikens are in action next weekend, April 3-4, at the Pacesetter Sports Invitational at Indiana State.
