WHAT'S ON TAP?

  • Saint Louis concludes the regular season on Saturday at George Mason. Game time at EagleBank Arena is set for 3 p.m. CT / 4 p.m. ET.

FOLLOWING THE ACTION

  • Saturday's game will be televised nationally on USA Network. Steve Schlanger and Dr. John Giannini will call the action.
  • 104.1 FM / 1120 AM KMOX is the home for Billiken Basketball on the radio. Billiken Hall of Famers and longtime SLU men's basketball radio partners Bob Ramsey and Earl Austin Jr. will call the action for all SLU games, both at home and on the road. Billiken Basketball sends a special salute to Rammer, who is in his 40th season as the radio voice of SLU hoops, and Austin, who is in year No. 35. The duo were recently honored with the Burnes-Broeg Award at the Missouri Athletic Club's Jack Buck Awards.

  • The Billikens have already clinched at least a share of the A-10 regular-season title. They can be the outright champion with a VCU loss Friday OR a win on Saturday.
  • SLU has clinched the top seed in next week's A-10 Championship in Pittsburgh. Its first game will be Friday, March 13, at 11:30 a.m. (ET) against the winner of Thursday's 8/9 game.
  • Saint Louis is No. 25 in this week's AP Top 25, the Billikens' seventh straight week in the rankings.
  • SLU is one win away from tying the school record for wins in a season (28, 2012-13).
  • The Billikens have already set a SLU single-season record for 3-pointers made in a season (336), breaking the previous mark of 333 established last season. SLU needs 78 more points to surpass the school record for points in a season (2,665, 1988-89).
  • SLU is seventh nationally in scoring offense with 88.8 ppg and is on pace to break the A-10 record (87.3, West Virginia in 1990-91).
  • SLU leads the NCAA in 3FG% (.412). Four Billikens rank among the top five in the A-10 in 3FG%. 
  • Defensively, the Bills lead the NCAA in FG% defense (.372). They are fifth nationally in 3FG% defense (.289).
  • SLU is No. 11 in the NCAA in rebound margin (+8.8). It leads the NCAA in defensive rpg (30.3).
  • The Bills rank third in the country in scoring margin (20.3).
  • Robbie Avila leads SLU in scoring and is first among NCAA centers in assists/game (4.2) and 3s/per game (1.9). He is the third center in NCAA history with 200+ career 3-pointers.
  • Trey Green leads the A-10 in 3-pointers made per game (2.93) and 3FG% (.464, third in the NCAA).

ABOUT GEORGE MASON

  • The George Mason Patriots enter Saturday's game 22-8 overall and 10-7 in Atlantic 10 play. 
  • George Mason started out the conference season by winning its first six games. The Patriots have fallen in five of their last six games.
  • Kory Mincy leads four players in double-figures with 14.3 ppg. Riley Allenspach contributes 13.8 ppg and pulls down a team-best 6.0 rpg.
  • Jahari Long scores 11.3 ppg and leads the Patriots in assists with 3.9 per game.
  • George Mason is third in the A-10 in scoring defense, giving up 68.0 ppg. 
  • Tony Skinn is in his second season coaching at his alma mater. He was a starter on George Mason's Final Four team in 2006.

SERIES HISTORY

  • This is the 18th meeting all-time between the Billikens and Patriots. Saint Louis leads the series 11-6.
  • George Mason was the last team to beat SLU at Chaifetz Arena, winning 76-74 last season in St. Louis on Feb. 11, 2025.
  • Six SLU/George Mason games have gone into overtime, including two that went to double OT.
