ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis baseball defeated Bradley 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Billiken Sports Center to secure the series victory.
The Billikens broke through in the fifth inning, scoring three runs to take control of the game. Saint Louis added an insurance run in the seventh and relied on strong pitching the rest of the way to hold off the Braves.
Bradley threatened late, scoring its lone run in the eighth inning, but the Billiken bullpen shut the door to secure the win.
Saint Louis finished with eight hits in the victory.
Ian Blazier led the offense with two hits and a run scored, while
Joey Canzoni went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI.
Chase Beattie drove in two runs and
Riley Iffrig added an RBI.
On the mound, the Billikens limited Bradley to five hits and one run while striking out seven.
Noah Andrunas picke dup the win with 6.0 scoreless innings and
Drew Welk picke dup his second straight save.
