FOUR HOMES GAMES ON BILLIKEN DOCKET THIS WEEK
·Saint Louis (18-22, 9-9 A-10) plays four games at the Billiken Sports Center this week.
·Current Ohio Valley Conference leader and defending OVC regular-season and tournament champion Eastern Illinois (22-20, 14-3 OVC) comes to Midtown for a non-conference single game Wednesday, April 15, at 4 p.m.
·The Billikens resume Atlantic 10 Conference action with a three-game series vs. archrival Dayton (20-16, 10-8 A-10) April 18-19. Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game start at noon.
·Abby Mallo will be honored in a Senior Day ceremony following Sunday's game.
·With two league series remaining, SLU is tied with George Mason for fifth place. The Billikens conclude A-10 play at St. Bonaventure April 25-26. The top six teams qualify for the A-10 Championship, which will be played May 6-9 in St. Louis.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
·Saint Louis leads the A-10 in ERA (3.40, 54th nationally), walks (158, 45th nationally) and RBIs (156). The Billikens are tied for first in shutouts (seven, tied for 28th nationally).
·Abby Ulsas has hit safely in 12 of her last 16 games (18-for-49, .367). Ulsas leads the Billikens in batting average for all games (.328), and her team-best .385 mark vs. A-10 opponents ranks seventh in the league. With 91 assists at third base, she ranks second in the A-10 and 56th in the nation.
·Abby Mallo is fifth in the nation with 40 walks, second most on SLU's all-time single-season list. The school record is 46. Mallo has team highs of six home runs and 23 RBIs. Also excelling defensively, her nine runners caught stealing rank second in the A-10 and 51st nationally.
·Anna Christ has a 1.36 ERA over her last six outings. Her 2.33 season ERA is third best in the A-10. At the plate, Christ has hit safely in four of the last five games (5-for-15, .333) with three doubles and four RBIs. She is second on the team in home runs (five) and RBIs (21).
·Karsen Jany is batting .353 (6-for-17) with a triple, a double and four walks in her last six games, hitting safely in five of those contests. Jany is third on the team with 20 RBIs.
·Isabel Royle has a 2.58 ERA over her last eight appearances (five starts). Royle's seven wins lead SLU and are tied for fifth in the A-10.
·Sophia Boente has hit safely in four of her last five games (5-for-15, .333) with five RBIs.
·Ava Wombles has a team-high 12 RBIs over the last 12 games. She is batting .348 with runners in scoring position.
·Bella Stephens has hit safely in 14 of her last 18 games (17-for-61, .279).
·Anna Rolla is batting .280 (7-for-25) over the last 10 games.
·Riley Nelson's three shutouts lead the A-10 and are tied for 50th in the nation.
 
HEAD COACH CHRISTY CONNOYER
·Now in her 16th season at the helm, 2023 and 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year Christy Connoyer owns 405 Saint Louis victories. The Billikens' 95 wins from 2023 to 2025 are the most during a three-year span in program history.
·In addition to last year's A-10 Championship triumph and NCAA Tournament appearance, Connoyer guided the 2023 Billikens to the program's first regular-season conference title.
 
SCOUTING EASTERN ILLINOIS
·Eastern Illinois won its first 12 conference games but has dropped three of its last five including two of three at Southeast Missouri State, which Saint Louis defeated 9-3 last week.
·The Panthers have played a challenging non-conference schedule including Southeastern Louisiana, Arizona, Arizona State and Grand Canyon.
·Senior infielder Lizzie Stiverson carries team highs in batting average (.336) and doubles (seven) and adds 20 RBIs.
·Junior infielder Chloe Wamboldt (.319), junior infielder Alisha Frederick (.311) and senior outfielder Marybeth Dyson (.301) also are batting above the .300 mark. Frederick has 22 RBIs and leads the team in walks (23) and on-base percentage (.427).
·Sophomore utility Abbi Hatton has a team-high 29 RBIs, while junior catcher Sophia Olman (25 RBIs) and senior catcher Lexie Griffin (24 RBIs, team-high six home runs) also are top run producers.
·Olman is tied for 20th in the nation with 11 runners caught stealing.
·Three pitchers have combined to work 90 percent of EIU's innings – senior right-hander Bryanna French (7-6, 4.43 ERA), sophomore right-hander Rylan Gick (8-4, 4.62 ERA) and senior right-hander Karlie McKenzie (5-8, 5.12 ERA).
 
SCOUTING DAYTON
·Dayton was picked to finish second in the A-10 after winning the 2025 regular-season conference title.
·Most recently, the Flyers took two of three from St. Bonaventure to move into second place in the league standings.
·Dayton's pitching staff leads the A-10 in strikeouts per seven innings (8.34, seventh nationally), fewest hits allowed per seven innings (6.61, 38th) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (1.75:1). Offensively, the Flyers rank second in the conference in batting average (.276) and home runs (22).
·Senior Izzy Kemp, a 2025 first-team All-Conference selection, is the front runner for A-10 Pitcher of the Year honors. Kemp (13-4) tops the league in strikeouts per seven innings (12.4, second nationally), fewest hits allowed per seven innings (3.99, 10th), ERA (1.79, 26th), wins (13, 40th) and WHIP (1.11, 60th) and is second in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.29:1, 60th).
·Junior catcher/first baseman Deirdre Flaherty is among the top five in the A-10 in batting average (.379) and RBIs (30).
·Junior infielder Kirnan Bailey, who joined Kemp on the 2025 All-Conference first team, ranks second in the nation in stolen bases (34) and sixth in stolen base percentage (.971, 34-of-35). Bailey is batting .356 and is one of the nation's toughest to strike out, fanning just once every 33.8 plate appearances.
·Sophomore infielder Juliana Gonzalez owns a .297 batting average, while sophomore pitcher/utility Camrynn Linneman (six home runs, 22 RBIs) and sophomore catcher/first baseman Katelin Goodwin (five home runs, 20 RBIs) provide offensive punch.
