ST. LOUIS - The Billikens dropped a 9-5 contest in the opening game of their series with Davidson.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and extended to 4-0 after plating a run in the top of the fourth.

Saint Louis narrowed the margin at 4-3 after the fourth inning. Joey Canzoni drove in the Billiken's first run with an RBI single, followed by a two RBI double from Austin Neuweg.

Davidson took another four run lead after plating three runs in the sixth to lead 7-3 and again extended two innings later to 9-3.

The Billikens ninth inning rally fell short after scoring two runs, falling 9-5.
