ST. LOUIS – Miles Miller, who has served as interim head coach since September 2025, has been named head coach of the Billiken baseball program.
Miller joined Saint Louis University in the summer of 2023 and spent two seasons as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator before being elevated to interim head coach.
"I am proud to name Miles as the head coach of our baseball program," SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. "He has done an excellent job in the interim role and understands the values required to build a championship-caliber program at SLU within the ever-evolving NCAA Division I landscape. Miles is a respected coach with strong relationships across the baseball community, and is highly skilled at working with student-athletes. We are confident in his ability to build a program positioned for sustained success while competing for Atlantic 10 championships."
"I want to thank Dr. Ed Feser, Chris May and Dr. Janet Oberle for entrusting me with the opportunity to lead this program," Miller said. "It's a responsibility I take great pride in, and I'm committed to upholding the standard of excellence set by Saint Louis University Baseball and Billiken Athletics. We have outstanding coaches in our department, and I'm honored to join them in pursuing Atlantic 10 championships. Saint Louis has been great to me, and I look forward to continuing to be part of this special sports city and community."
Miller came to SLU from High Point University, where he served as pitching coach from 2021–23. During his tenure, he helped guide the Panthers to a fourth-place finish in the Big South Conference in 2022 with a 14-10 league record. His pitching staff led the conference in ERA during regular-season league play and featured two of the Big South's top four individual ERAs.
Prior to High Point, Miller served as associate head coach and pitching coach at Towson University from 2017–21. There, he coached two pitchers who rank among the program's top-10 single-season strikeout leaders. His responsibilities also included game planning, expanding recruiting reach and overseeing player development.
Miller also held coaching roles at Purdue University (2017) and Butler University (2012–16), where he worked as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.
Additionally, Miller gained experience with several summer and collegiate programs, including the Waterloo Bucks, Philadelphia University, New Bedford Bay Sox and Torrington Titans. He began his coaching career at Albertus Magnus College in 2010.
Before entering coaching, Miller spent two-and-a-half years as an assistant director at Velocity Sports Performance in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he worked in athlete development and fitness training.
As a player, Miller competed at San Diego Mesa College before earning bachelor's and master's degrees from Grand Canyon University.
