PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Saint Louis baseball fell just short with a 5-4 loss at Saint Joseph's on Friday afternoon.
The Hawks took an early 3-0 advantage after the first inning.
The Billikens responded with four unanswered runs through the next five innings.
Drew Kleinheider hit a solo home run in the third to get SLU on the board followed by a
Chase Beattie homer and
Matthew Arnold RBI double to tie the game at 3-3 in the fourth.
Austin Neuweg got in on the home run hitting with a solo shot in the sixth to give Saint Louis the 4-3 lead.
Saint Joseph's would tie the game in the seventh and take a 5-4 lead with another run in the eighth to win the game.
