ST. LOUIS – Eight Saint Louis University swimming and diving student-athletes, four women and four men, earned 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition.

Logan Townsend collected the honor for a third time, while senior

Ben Mears were recognized for a second time. Junior

Hanna Whitney received their first Academic All-District nods.
Cashman is a nursing major with a 3.992 GPA. She was a member of SLU's 200 medley relay team that clocked a school-record 1:42.21 at the Atlantic 10 Championships; her 50 breast split time of 28.21 also established a school mark. Cashman also competed in the 400 medley relay at the conference meet.
Sanchez is an exercise science major and an A-10 All-Academic selection with a 3.896 GPA. At the A-10 Championships, he earned the silver medal in the 100 breast and swam on the Billikens' fourth-place 400 medley relay team that posted a school-record 3:14.56, setting a school standard of 53.53 for the 100 breast split in the process. Sanchez also scored in the 200 breast (10th) and was a member of SLU's 200 medley relay squad.
Townsend, who joined Sanchez on the A-10 All-Academic team, is an accounting major with a 3.883 GPA. He scored in two individual events at the A-10 Championships, finishing sixth in the 200 free and 12th in the 100 free, and was a member of the Bills' 800 free relay quartet that captured the bronze medal. Townsend also swam on the record-setting fourth-place 400 medley relay team as well as on the 200 and 400 free relay squads.
Byars is a double major in finance and business technology management with a 3.890 GPA. He reached the A final in the 200 back at the A-10 Championships, placing sixth.
Eng is an education major with a 3.808 GPA. She turned in scoring performances of 12th in the 200 back and 13th in the 100 back at the A-10 Championships and joined Cashman on the record-setting 200 medley relay team, registering a Billiken record of her own for the 50 back split (25.94). Eng also competed in the 400 medley relay.
Mears is an exercise science major with a 3.917 GPA. He enjoyed a pair of top-10 finishes at the A-10 Championships, placing eighth in 3-meter diving and 10th in 1-meter diving.
McAdam is a nursing major with a 3.721 GPA. She reached the A-10 Championships A final in the 200 fly, placing seventh, and swam on the Billikens' 800 free relay team.
Whitney is a civil engineering major with a 3.547 GPA. She achieved the best individual result for the Saint Louis women at the A-10 Championships, placing sixth in the 100 breast in a school-record 1:02.93, and competed in the 200 and 400 free relays.
