LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Saint Louis University redshirt-sophomore pitcher/outfielder Anna Christ was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Midwest Region third team, the NFCA announced Thursday.
 
Christ's selection marks a sixth consecutive year that at least one Saint Louis player has earned NFCA All-Region honors. It is the 16th All-Region selection in program history.
  
Christ led the SLU pitching staff with a 2.86 ERA, a mark that ranked sixth in the Atlantic 10 Conference. She tied for third in the league in shutouts (two), tied for fourth in complete games (nine), finished seventh in innings (112 2/3) and tied for eighth in wins (eight).
 
Offensively, Christ's team-high 31 RBIs tied for seventh in the conference, and she tied for the team lead with three sacrifice flies (tied for third in the A-10) and nine multiple-RBI games. Her 10 doubles tied for ninth in the league. Christ was second on the team in home runs (five) and third in slugging percentage (.423) and total bases (60).
