ST. LOUIS – Four Saint Louis University softball student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators 2026 Academic All-District team.
Representing the Billikens are pitcher/outfielder
Anna Christ, outfielder
Karsen Jany, pitcher
Isabel Royle and infielder
Abby Ulsas.
To be eligible for softball Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and participate in at least 90 percent or start at least 66 percent of her team's games.
Christ is a double major in biology and neuroscience with a 3.903 GPA. Earlier this month, she was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Midwest Region third team and to the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic team. Christ led the SLU pitching staff with a 2.86 ERA while posting eight wins, two of which were shutouts. At the plate, she produced a team-high 31 RBIs to go with five home runs and 10 doubles.
Jany is a biology major with a 3.883 GPA. She led the Billikens in doubles (12), slugging percentage (.470) and total bases (70) and was second on the team in batting average (.295), on-base percentage (.433), RBIs (29), hits (44), walks (36) and runs (31). Jany ranked among the A-10 leaders in doubles (tied-third), walks (fourth), runs (ninth) and RBIs (tied-10th).
Royle is a marketing major with a 3.948 GPA. She topped the Saint Louis pitching staff in wins (nine), strikeouts (80), complete games (12), appearances (30), starts (22) and innings (122 1/3). Royle tossed two shutouts and combined on another. In the A-10 rankings, she tied for first in complete games, finished fourth in strikeouts and tied for sixth in wins.
Ulsas, who earned a place on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference first team, is an exercise science major with a 3.976 GPA. She led the Bills in numerous categories including batting average (.310), hits (48), runs (34), triples (three), sacrifice bunts (six) and assists (117), and she was second in doubles (11) and total bases (65). Ulsas landed in the A-10's top 10 in triples (tied-first), assists (second), sacrifice bunts (tied-second), doubles (tied-fifth), runs (sixth), walks (sixth) and hits (tied-seventh).
