Avila, Brown Sign NBA Exhibit 10 Contracts

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis men's basketball standouts Robbie Avila and Dion Brown have signed NBA Exhibit 10 contracts following the 2026 NBA Draft, the players announced.

Avila signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, while Brown agreed to terms with the Brooklyn Nets. Both players will report to their respective organizations for NBA Summer League and training camp opportunities.

Avila earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors this past season. The skilled 6-foot-10 center averaged 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting better than 40 percent from 3-point range. Avila concluded his SLU career with 983 points and 122 3-pointers. Across his four-year NCAA career, which included two seasons at Indiana State, he compiled 1,990 points, 473 assists and 214 3-pointers.

Brown averaged 11.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while starting all 35 contests in his lone season with the Billikens. The transfer from Boston College and UMBC earned A-10 All-Defensive Team honors as a senior. He ranked among the NCAA's top rebounding guards and shot 61.6 percent from the field, the fifth-best single-season field goal percentage in school history.

Avila and Brown helped lead Saint Louis to a school-record 29 victories, a share of the Atlantic 10 regular-season championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025-26.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum-salary NBA agreement that allows teams to bring players to training camp and/or NBA Summer League while offering the opportunity to earn a bonus if they are waived and sign with the team's NBA G League affiliate. Exhibit 10 contracts also can be converted into two-way contracts prior to the start of the regular season.

Avila and Brown become the latest Billikens to earn opportunities in the NBA. Recent SLU graduates Yuri Collins (Warriors and Nets) and Terrence Hargrove Jr. (Nuggets) have competed in the NBA Summer League. Collins also earned a 10-day contract with the Golden State Warriors and appeared in two NBA games during the 2024-25 season.

Jordan Goodwin, a 2021 SLU graduate, agreed earlier this month to a three-year contract with the Phoenix Suns. His NBA career has spanned five seasons, and he has appeared in 220 games.
