Fang Promoted to Video & Analytics Coordinator

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis head men's basketball coach Josh Schertz has announced the promotion of Jason Fang to the program's Video & Analytics Coordinator.

Fang served as a graduate assistant the past two seasons with the Billikens. In his new full-time role, he will oversee the program's video operations while assisting with analytics, scouting, player development and recruiting.

"We are excited to be able to promote Jason to a full-time position within our program," Schertz said. "Jason's value and impact on our program over the last three years has continued to grow so this is very well deserved. You always look to hire incredibly intelligent, driven, humble and high-character people, and he checks every single box. This is a great day for Billiken Basketball!"

Fang was part of a Saint Louis staff that guided the Billikens to one of the finest seasons in program history in 2025-26. SLU finished 29-6 overall, captured a share of the Atlantic 10 regular-season championship and earned the program's first NCAA Championship berth since 2019. The Billikens advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship after defeating Georgia in the opening round, marking the program's first NCAA Championship victory since 2014.

The Billikens' 29 victories established a new school record. Saint Louis also climbed as high as No. 18 in the national rankings while emerging as one of the nation's most efficient teams on both ends of the floor.

As a graduate assistant at Saint Louis, Fang worked extensively in scouting, analytics and player development. He utilized Hudl Sportscode for game coding and statistical analysis, assisted with opponent scouting and offensive game planning, and contributed to recruiting through prospect evaluations, video analysis and analytical reporting.

Prior to joining the Billikens, Fang served as a graduate assistant at Indiana State during the 2023-24 season, helping the Sycamores advance to the National Invitation Tournament championship game.

Fang began his collegiate basketball career at Haverford College, where he served as director of player development and student manager from 2019-23. He prepared opponent scouting reports, evaluated prospects at AAU events and elite camps, and planned and led individual player-development workouts.

Since 2023, Fang has also worked as a video analyst for Thinking Basketball, creating player and team scouting packages, assisting with analytical research, and contributing to basketball analysis content featured on the NBA and Thinking Basketball platforms.

In addition, Fang has worked camps at Texas A&M, Xavier, Harvard, Yale and Columbia, and has coached with the Philly Pride and Global Squad AAU programs.
