ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis men's basketball will take part in the inaugural A10/American Showcase when the Billikens meet South Florida on Sunday, Nov. 29, at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. 

The event, a new multi-year collaboration between ESPN Events, the Atlantic 10 Conference and the American Conference, will feature two matchups between the conferences' premier programs.

Saint Louis and South Florida will be joined in the showcase by Dayton and Memphis. Game times and ESPN platform designations will be announced at a later date. Tickets will go on sale this fall. "We are excited to participate in the inaugural A10/American Showcase," Saint Louis head coach Josh Schertz said. "The opportunity to play an NCAA Tournament team like USF on a neutral floor and on national television is a great platform for our program and for the Atlantic 10 as a whole."

Nationwide Arena in Columbus holds a special place in Billiken basketball history. It was the site of Saint Louis' return to the NCAA Tournament in 2012, when Hall of Fame head coach Rick Majerus guided the Billikens to their first NCAA appearance in 12 years. SLU defeated Memphis in the opening round before nearly upsetting top-seeded Michigan State, falling 65-61 in a memorable second-round thriller.

Saint Louis enters the 2026-27 season as the defending Atlantic 10 regular-season co-champion after posting a school-record 29 victories a year ago. The Billikens advanced to the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament and return nine players, including three All-Conference performers, from last year's squad.

The Bulls, under the direction of first-year head coach Chris Mack, are coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance after capturing the 2025-26 American Conference regular-season and tournament championships.

Future editions of the A10/American Showcase will rotate participating schools and host locations throughout the footprints of both conferences.
