Saint Louis hosts the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Friday afternoon in the Atlantic 10 Conference opener for both teams. Game time at the SLU Field Hockey Complex is 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

Saint Louis enters the match at 2-4. Last weekend, the Billikens defeated Mercyhurst 6-0 and fell to Central Michigan 3-2.

Sierra Larson scored five goals last week, including a hat trick in the win over Mercyhurst. Brynn Newborn and Ella Etherington have also scored multiple goals this season, with two apiece.

Abby Schalow has played the majority of the minutes in goal and has a 2.10 goals-against average with 4.3 saves per game.

Head coach Laura Hurff is in her second season at Saint Louis after serving as interim head coach last year. Assistant coach McKenna Sergi is in her first season on the Billiken sideline. Gracie Burns joins the Billikens as a graduate assistant coach.

ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S

The Hawks are 2-4 overall through a challenging nonconference schedule that has seen them face three ranked opponents. Milou Kluyt and Cat Arentz lead SJU with three goals apiece. Avianna Wagner has played every minute in goal. SJU is under the direction of first-year head coach Sam Brown.

SLU FIELD HOCKEY COMPLEX

Street parking at the SLU Field Hockey Complex is located on LaSalle Street, which runs parallel to Chouteau Avenue. Parking also is available in the Hickory East Garage (3424 Hickory St., St. Louis, MO 63104). Please note the garage is a cashless facility. The cost is $2 per hour per exit, or $6 per day.
