GAME DETAILS
•Three players recorded the first braces of their collegiate careers, and Saint Louis tied a program record for most goals against an Atlantic 10 Conference opponent with a season-high seven in a 7-1 rout of VCU Saturday at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
•The game was the A10 opener for both teams. SLU improved to 5-2-2 overall, while VCU slipped to 0-6-3.
•Lucie Schwartz, Caroline Chier and Addison Stanciak scored two goals apiece, and Audrey Smith added her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
•Ashley Miller registered her first two-assist game as a Billiken. Adee Broesder, Leah Simpson, Jeanette Fieldsend and Hope Kim each collected a helper.
•Schwartz's unassisted goal in the 15th minute gave the Bills a 1-0 lead. VCU posted an equalizer in the 23rd minute, but it was all Saint Louis after that.
•Chier (Broesder, Miller) scored what proved to be her first career game-winning goal in the 29th minute, and Stanciak (Miller) made it 3-1 in the 38th minute.
•Schwartz (unassisted) opened the second-half scoring with her third goal of the season in the 54th minute. Smith (Simpson) hit the target in the 55th minute, while Chier (Fieldsend, Kim) and Stanciak (unassisted) completed their braces in the 61st and 66th minutes, respectively.

•Saint Louis improved its series leads vs. VCU to 10-3-1 overall and 5-1 at Hermann Stadium. The Bills extended their winning streak over the Rams to six games.
•The Billikens improved to 23-4-4 in all conference openers (16-3-3 in the A10), including a current 10-game winning streak. SLU owns a 13-2-2 mark (9-1-1 as an A10 member) when the conference opener is played at home, including a current five-game winning streak.
•The seven-goal output was the second for the Billikens vs. an A10 opponent. SLU defeated Temple 7-0 on Oct. 22, 2006.
•The last time Saint Louis scored at least seven goals in a game prior to Saturday was in an 8-0 victory over Kansas City on Aug. 27, 2023.
•The Billikens improved to 5-0 this season when scoring first.

•Caroline Chier's goals were her first of the year, while Stanciak collected her first points of the season. They became the eighth and ninth Billikens to score a goal this year.
•Ashley Miller and Hope Kim are now tied for the team lead with four assists apiece.
•Audrey Smith has scored a goal in five of the last six games. She has team highs of seven goals and 15 points.
•Adee Broesder and Leah Simpson picked up their first assists of the season. They became the 13th and 14th Billikens to tally an assist this year.
•All four of SLU's assisted goals were new player combinations. Seventeen of the Bills' 22 goals this season have been assisted, and all 17 have featured a different player combination.
•Saint Louis is 89-13-13 (.830) in its last 115 games at Hermann Stadium. Against A10 opponents during the 115-game stretch (including conference tournament games), the Billikens are 60-3-5 (.919).
