Saint Louis begins a month-long road stint at the Saluki Bash in Carbondale, Ill. The Billikens take on Merrimack College on Friday at 3:30, before facing the host SIU on Saturday at 2:30.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
Saint Louis went 2-1 to open the season at the Billiken Invitational with wins over Buffalo and UIC before falling to Lindenwood 3-2.
Tea Kalajdzic recorded double digit kills for three straight games for the first time in her career. The junior had 20 kills against the Lions.
Jetta Brenning totaled 127 assists, 40 digs and 21 kills across all three games.
Ellie Rink is third in the Atlantic 10 in points and kills, she also added 11 blocks opening weekend.
Kayla Jansen leads the Atlantic 10 and is Top 20 nationally in total blocks.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS
Merrimack College is 0-3 coming into the Saluki Bash, winning one set over opening weekend. Jocelyn leads the Warriors with 2.70 kills per set followed by Mckenna Shotwell at 2.50. Naomi Vajda paces Merrimack with eight total blocks. The Warriors went 9-18 last season and were picked to finish 10
th in the Metro Conference Preseason Poll,
ABOUT THE SALUKIS
Southern Illinois was picked eighth in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason coaches' poll after finishing 13-17 in 2025. The Salukis are coming off a 3-0 weekend at the East Texas A&M Lion Invitational, earning wins over UL Monroe and East Texas A&M, both by 3-1 scores, before sweeping Texas Southern. Senior opposite hitter Ella Swansiger was named tournament MVP and to the all-tournament team after recording 35 kills, while freshman opposite hitter Natalie Vance also earned all-tournament honors with 33 kills and 10 blocks in her first collegiate tournament.
