This year marks the 30th anniversary of Saint Louis University's inaugural women's soccer season. As part of the recognition of this milestone, SLUBillikens.com is highlighting the program's 11 (eight individuals and three teams) Billiken Hall of Fame inductees.
 
This week's featured Hall of Famer is forward Jamie Perry, who was inducted in 2013 following a career during which she displayed some of the most remarkable offensive talent in program history.

Billiken women's soccer has featured many outstanding offensive players in its three decades on the pitch. When the upper echelon of those performers is discussed, Jamie Perry is always prominent in the conversation.
 
Perry came to Saint Louis University as a heralded striker from Rockwood Summit High School in nearby Fenton, Mo., and immediately established herself as a force at the collegiate level. She led the 2001 Billikens with 11 goals and 26 points – equaling what was then the school record in both categories – and earned Conference USA second-team and Freshman of the Year plaudits. The 11 goals remain a SLU freshman record.
 
Perry, however, was just warming up. She tallied 13 goals and 29 points in 2002 – school records that stood for 20 and 15 years, respectively, and still tops all-time for a Billiken sophomore – and was rewarded with inclusion on the NSCAA All-Region second team and All-Conference first team. Perry's hat trick accounted for all the scoring in a 3-0 season-opening win over Drury.
 
Aided by a career- and team-high nine assists to go with 10 goals, Perry matched her then-school-record 29 points in her junior campaign on the way to repeating on the All-Region second team and All-Conference first team. She topped the Saint Louis charts in goals, assists and points, becoming the second Billiken in what is now a group of only six to accomplish the feat. However, Perry is the only player among the six who led the team in all three categories in a season without tying a teammate for supremacy in any of them.
 
Also in 2003, Perry became the first player to lead SLU in goals in three seasons, as well as the first to lead the team in goals and points in three seasons; she remains one of only two Billikens to accomplish both feats. She is one of only four players to lead the Bills in points in three different seasons.
 
Perry registered seven goals and six assists for 20 points in her senior campaign, yielding her scoring titles to other players. She didn't mind, though, as she and her teammates found themselves at the top of a much more important list – the Conference USA final standings. The Billikens claimed the program's second C-USA regular-season championship, posting records of 15-6-1 overall and 9-1 in league play. The 15 total victories and nine conference wins were school records at the time. Perry garnered All-Region (third team) and All-Conference (second team) accolades.
 
A starter in each of SLU's games during her years in Midtown, Perry is one of only six Billikens who have earned All-Conference honors in each season of her career. When her career concluded, she held Saint Louis records of 104 points, 41 goals, 11 game-winning goals, 261 shots, 83 games and 83 starts, and her 22 assists were tied for second. Each of her records has been surpassed, but she remains one of only five players who rank among SLU's all-time top 10 in points, goals, assists, game-winning goals and shots. Perry is the only player in program history to register four 20-point seasons.
 
The pitch wasn't the only place where Perry excelled. She was voted first-team Academic All-District by CoSIDA three times and made the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-America and NSCAA Scholar All-America second teams. Perry was the 2003 C-USA women's soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a two-time NSCAA All-Region Scholar-Athlete.
 
Perry was named to Saint Louis' All-Decade Team in 2005, inducted into the Billiken Hall of Fame in 2013 and selected to SLU's 25th Anniversary Team in 2021.
