• Made five pitching appearances, all starts; also made three starts as the designated player.
• Single-game season highs – three strikeouts and seven innings vs. Chattanooga and Southeast Missouri State; two hits vs. Western Michigan and Northwestern State; two RBIs and two runs vs. Northwestern State; six assists vs. Western Michigan.
• Allowed just 6.11 hits and 2.39 walks per seven innings.
• Yielded only one home run in 26 1/3 innings.
• Gave just three hits and four hits to Chattanooga and Southeast Missouri State, respectively, in consecutive complete-game victories.
• Doubled vs. Western Michigan and Northwestern State.
• Missed much of the season due to injury.

PRIOR TO SLU
Was a pitcher and first baseman at Edwardsville … as a senior, was second-team All-State, first-team All-Conference, Alton Telegraph Large School Player of the Year, St. Louis Post-Dispatch Player of the Year, Belleville News-Democrat Player of the Year and Edwardsville High School's Outstanding Senior Athlete … posted a 1.29 ERA in the circle and batted .465 with five home runs and 39 RBIs … helped lead the team to a 29-6 record and regional and sectional titles … as a junior, registered a 29-3 record and a 0.86 ERA for a 36-4 team that reached the Class 4A super-sectional final round … struck out 156 and walked only 27 in 139 innings … at the plate, posted a .504 batting average, seven home runs, a school-record 59 RBIs and 12 doubles … named Large School Player of the Year by the Alton Telegraph and was selected to the All-State, All-Area, All-Metro and All-Conference first teams … second-team All-Conference choice as a freshman and sophomore … played travel ball with Extreme Elite … also excelled in the classroom, earning Academic All-Conference laurels multiple times, a place on the Edwardsville high honor roll and National Honor Society membership.
