PRIOR TO SLU
As a senior, was first-team All-State, All-Area and first-team All-Conference … had a .450 batting average, six home runs, 37 RBIs, a .524 on-base percentage, a .440 batting average with runners in scoring position, 51 runs and only five strikeouts … helped lead Downers Grove South to a 36-4 record, third place in the Illinois Class 4A state tournament and the West Suburban Conference title … second-team All-State and first-team All-Conference as a junior, batting .526 with eight home runs, seven triples, 11 doubles, 57 RBIs and just three strikeouts … the team finished among the top eight in the state … played travel ball with the Bartlett Silverhawks … in the summer of 2015, hit .415, collected 29 RBIs and struck out just four times … won the IHSA Scholastic Achievement Award, the West Suburban Conference Academic Achievement Award and the Academic Excellence Bronze Science Award … recognized for superior achievement in Spanish and English … National Honor Society member who appeared on the Downers Grove South honor roll every semester.
