Played at Johnson County Community College, where he was part of one of the most successful two-year runs in Cavaliers baseball history. Bruce helped Johnson County post a 119-16 record, two conference championships, two Region 6/Plains District titles and two JUCO World Series appearances, including the program’s first national championship in 2026. Individually, he was a JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team selection, Region 6 Tournament MVP, Region 6 All-Tournament Team selection, Region 6 Gold Glove catcher, First-Team Region 6 catcher and First-Team KJCCC catcher. Bruce played in 113 games and batted .412 with 138 hits, 24 doubles, four triples, 22 home runs, 127 runs scored and 129 RBIs. He finished his JCCC career with a .543 on-base percentage and .704 slugging percentage, while ranking among the program's career leaders in multiple categories. In two JUCO World Series appearances, Bruce batted .462 with three doubles, two home runs, six walks, 13 runs scored and nine RBIs.
