Mike Farrell

Mike Farrell joined the Saint Louis University baseball staff in October 2025 as the pitching coach for the Billikens.

Farrell brings more than three decades of experience as a player, scout, and instructor at the professional and amateur levels. He joins the Billikens after serving as an Area Scouting Supervisor for the Kansas City Royals since 2013. Prior to his time with the Royals, Farrell spent 16 years with the Milwaukee Brewers as an Area Scouting Supervisor.
 
During his professional playing career, Farrell competed in the Brewers’ minor league system from 1990–1996, and made stops in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Taiwan. He was recognized as the Milwaukee Brewers’ Pitcher of the Year in 1992 and received the New Orleans Zephyr’s Man of the Year Award in 1993, honoring his dedication to the team and community.
 
In addition to his extensive professional background, Farrell has spent more than 30 years coaching and instructing youth and amateur players. His player development philosophy emphasizes building character and life skills through baseball fundamentals.
 
A native of Indiana, Farrell earned his degree in communications from Indiana State University, where he played under Hall of Fame coach Bob Warn.
