Miller, who brings over 12 years of coaching experience to the Billikens, was announced as the program's assistant coach and recruiting coordinator on July 6, 2023.
Miller comes to the Billikens from High Point University where he has served as its pitching coach since 2021. There, he helped the Panthers to a fourth-place finish in the Big South Conference after posting a conference mark of 14-10 during the 2022 season. Miller also helped his pitching staff finish first in the Big South in ERA during regular-season conference play while producing two of the conference's top four individual ERAs.
Prior to his time in North Carolina, Miller held the title of associate head coach and pitching coach at Towson University from 2017-2021 where he coached two pitchers who finished on the school's top-10 single-season strikeouts list. He also was directly responsible for game planning, expanding the school's recruiting reach and player development.
Before his stint with the Tigers, Miller spent one season at Purdue University (2017) and five seasons at Butler University (2012-16) where he held pitching coach and recruiting coordinator roles.
Miller also held positions with the Waterloo Bucks (2012), Philadelphia University (2010-12), New Bedford Bay Sox (2011), and the Torrington Titans (2010) after getting his coaching start at Albertus Magnus College (2010).
Before beginning his coaching career, Miller spent two-and-a-half years as an assistant director for Velocity Sports Performance, a facility specializing in sports performance and adult fitness programs in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Miller played collegiately at San Diego Mesa College before receiving his bachelor's and master's degrees from Grand Canyon University.
He comes to the Billikens after a 2023 season that saw SLU post a runner-up finish at the A-10 Tournament and an overall conference mark of 15-9.
