Danté Milligan served two seasons as a graduate assistant on Travis Ford’s staff from 2016-18.

Milligan played for Ford at UMass prior to enjoying an extensive professional career overseas and in the United States. A native of New York City, Milligan began his collegiate playing career at Pitt before transferring to UMass, where he graduated in 2008. He played a key roll on the 2008 UMass team that advanced to the NIT Championship game.

Following graduation, Milligan played professionally in France, Israel, China, the Dominican Republic and Colombia. He played two seasons in the NBA D-League with the Springfield Armor, Oklahoma City Blue and the Canton Charge. With Canton, he was coached by former Billiken assistant coach and current Utah Jazz assistant coach Alex Jensen.

Milligan has worked New York Knicks summer camps and is part of Basketball Stars of New York, which provides private basketball lessons for children aged 6-18. He created the Alonzo Milligan Mentorship Award in 2005, which provides scholarship money to student in alliance with the Children’s Aid Society of New York. He earned a Master’s in Higher Education Administration at SLU.
