Jason Fang

Jason Fang enters his third season on the Saint Louis men's basketball staff in 2026-27 and his first as video & analytics coordinator.

He spent the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant at SLU and was promoted to his current, full-time role in the summer of 2026.

Fang was part of a SLU staff that orchestrated one of the finest seasons in Saint Louis basketball history in 2025-26. The Billikens finished 29-6 overall, captured a share of the Atlantic 10 regular-season title and earned the program's first NCAA Championship berth since 2019. Saint Louis advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship after defeating Georgia in the first round, marking the Billikens' first NCAA Championship victory since 2014.

The 29 victories established a new school record. The Billikens spent multiple weeks in the national rankings and climbed as high as No. 18 nationally while becoming one of the nation's most efficient offensive and defensive teams.

In his current role, Fang assists with video coordination, analytics, scouting and player development. He utilizes Hudl Sportscode for game coding and statistical analysis, helps prepare opponent scouting reports and offensive game plans, and contributes to recruiting efforts through prospect evaluations, video analysis and analytical reporting.

Prior to arriving at Saint Louis, Fang served as a graduate assistant at Indiana State during the 2023-24 season. He assisted with scouting, recruiting, player development and analytics while helping the Sycamores advance to the National Invitation Tournament championship game.

Fang got his start in college basketball at Haverford College, where he served as director of player development and student manager from 2019-23. His responsibilities included preparing opponent scouting reports, evaluating prospects at AAU events and elite camps, and planning and conducting individual player-development workouts.

Since 2023, Fang has also worked as a video analyst for Thinking Basketball, creating player and team scouting packages, assisting with analytical research, and contributing to video content featured on the NBA and Thinking Basketball platforms.

In addition, Fang has worked camps at Texas A&M, Xavier, Harvard, Yale and Columbia, and has coaching experience with the Philly Pride and Global Squad AAU programs.
