Matt Hayden was named Saint Louis University’s Associate Director of Athletics for Development in October 2012. Hayden oversees all aspects of development and revenue generation, including the Billiken Club.
Prior to his arrival at SLU, Hayden spent nine years at Washington University in St. Louis. From 2004-06, he was Director of Development in the College of Arts and Sciences. In October 2006, Hayden was named Associate Director of Development in the Department of Athletics.
In addition to his experience at Wash. U., Hayden served as Assistant Director of Development in the University of Illinois at Chicago athletics department and was a fundraising fellow at the University of Illinois following a graduate assistantship in the Fighting Illini’s development office.
Hayden is a 1998 graduate of Knox College, where he played football and baseball. He was inducted into the college’s Hall of Fame in 2019. Hayden earned a master’s degree at Illinois.
Hayden and his wife, Sara, are the parents of daughters Charlotte and Audrey.
