Saint Louis University head women’s basketball coach Rebecca Tillett has named Ryenn Micaletti an associate head coach in April 2022. SLU is the fourth program where Micaletti and Tillett have joined ranks, following stints together at Longwood University, the United States Naval Academy and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Micaletti helped Longwood to a 36-19 record in her two years with the Lancers and notched postseason berths in both seasons.

As associate head coach in 2021-22, Longwood recorded a conference championship, the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance and the Lancers’ first NCAA Tournament victory. Winners in 15 of their final 17 games, the Lancers turned in their best overall and league records since joining the Big South Conference almost 10 years ago, finishing 22-12 overall and 15-3 in the conference. Five Lancers earned Big South postseason accolades for a second consecutive season, including the league’s Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.

Micaletti served as recruiting coordinator and assistant coach in the 2020-21 season, a year in which the Lancers posted a 14-11 record and earned a spot in the Women’s Basketball Invitational.

Prior to Longwood, Micaletti spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Navy, during which the program both tied and broke the record for wins in a season, made multiple appearances in the finals of the conference tournament and also made multiple postseason appearances, including a win in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.

The Mids posted 24- and 25-win seasons in 2016-17 and 2017-18, respectively, and reached the WNIT both years. With a win over George Washington in the first round of the 2016-17 WNIT, Navy tallied its first national postseason tournament victory.

Before Navy, Micaletti served as an assistant coach for two seasons at Slippery Rock. During that time, Slippery Rock won 24 games after winning only 25 in the previous 131 games, and Micaletti helped the squad qualify for a playoff spot for the first time in 10 seasons.

Micaletti and Tillett first worked on staff together as assistants at Indiana University Pennsylvania in 2013-14 and helped IUP compile an 18-10 record.

Micaletti started her collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Point Park University from 2011-13, helping the Pioneers make back-to-back trips to the NAIA Division II National Tournament while setting records for wins in both seasons.

A four-year student-athlete on the women’s basketball team at Seton Hill, Micaletti graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history with a secondary social studies teaching certification in 2011. She earned her master’s in curriculum and instruction from Point Park in 2016. In September of 2020, she completed her Diversity and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University.
