Robert R. Hermann Stadium (Soccer)
Robert R. Hermann Stadium, which is located on the campus of Saint Louis University, serves as the home of the Billikens’ men’s and women’s soccer programs.

The Hermann Stadium site served as the home of various athletics programs for many years. When the soccer stadium was renovated in 1999 to include grandstands, a press box and a state-of-the-art natural grass playing surface, both the men’s and women’s soccer teams made the on-campus venue their home playing facility.
Hermann Stadium has hosted numerous Conference USA and Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, in addition to serving as the site of many NCAA Championship games. Most notably, Hermann Stadium was the home of the 2006 NCAA Men's Soccer College Cup, which SLU hosted in conjunction with the St. Louis Sports Commission.
The facility serves as a true home field advantage for the men’s and women’s soccer programs. The women’s team won Atlantic 10 Conference Championships at Hermann Stadium in 2006 and 2019. The men’s program has registered five unbeaten seasons at Hermann Stadium since it was renovated in 1999.
Hermann Stadium has served as a training ground for some of the world’s best teams and players. Clubs who have trained at Hermann Stadium include Chelsea FC, Real Madrid and Liverpool FC. In addition, the Bosnia-Herzegovina Men’s National Team and the United States Women’s National Team trained at Hermann Stadium in advance of friendlies prior to the FIFA World Cup.
Some recent renovations to Hermann Stadium include a new home locker room, which the men’s and women’s programs share on game days. The locker room was dedicated to the memory of SLU alum Dan Leahy through contributions from the Leahy family, including Dan’s brother and Billiken great Pat Leahy. Prior to the 2019 campaign, a new natural grass playing surface was installed at Hermann Stadium.
The stadium is located the heart of campus, just behind the Busch Student Center. Game parking is available a short walking distance away in the Olive/Compton Parking Garage. The Billiken Sports Center's baseball and softball diamonds are adjacent to Hermann Stadium, and Chaifetz Arena, which opened in April 2008, is located to the southeast.
The Billikens play on a regulation 120x75-yard soccer pitch. Hermann Stadium has a capacity 6,050.
The Billiken men's team christened Hermann Stadium by knocking off defending national champion and preseason No. 1 Indiana 3-2 in an exhibition game Aug. 21, 1999, before a record crowd of 6,517. The women's team also won its inaugural game at Hermann Stadium, prevailing 5-3 over Iowa Aug. 27, 1999.
Originally opened for play in 1990 as the Billiken Sports Center, the facility was home to the men's soccer team until 1994 before the Billikens moved back to Soccer Park in Fenton, Mo., to play on a natural grass surface. At one point in the late 1990s, the BSC complex boasted the second-largest artificial surface in the world.
