Sloan's Free Throws Seal Billiken Win

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Marque Perry scored 11 of his 15 points in the second half and Chris Sloan made two free throws with 3.1 seconds left as Saint Louis rallied to beat St. Bonaventure 56-54 on Saturday.

The Billikens (1-2) trailed 48-41 with 8:10 remaining after back-to-back 3-pointers by Joe Shepherd. Drew Diener answered with consecutive 3-pointers to tie at 52-52 with 2:09 left.

Perry's two free throws at :28 gave Saint Louis a 54-52 lead, its first since 25-23 late in the first half.

After throwing a pass away, Marques Green made a short runner off the glass with 6.5 seconds left to tie at 54-54, but Sloan was fouled on the ensuing fast break and made both free throws. Green couldn't get off a heave from beyond half court before the final horn.

Kenny Brown scored 12 of his game-high 16 points in the first half.

Green led the Bonnies (2-2) with 14 points. Shepherd finished with 10 points.
