THE BASICS
--Saint Louis raced to a 19-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back in a 67-31 victory over Missouri-St. Louis Monday night at Chaifetz Arena.
--The win lifted the Billikens to 6-0 for just the third time in program history. The 1979-80 and 1980-81 squads share the record for the best start by a SLU women's basketball team (7-0).
--The game was recorded as an exhibition contest for UMSL.
HOW IT HAPPENED
--Saint Louis scored the first six points and earned its first double-digit lead, 16-5, on a steal and layup by Jamesia Price.
--The second quarter saw Jenny Vliet connect three times from beyond the arc to power the Billikens to a 38-13 cushion at intermission.
--Saint Louis' lead never dipped below 22 points in the second half.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
--SLU committed a season-low 11 turnovers while forcing 21 UMSL miscues, leading to a 26-2 advantage in points off turnovers.
--11 of the UMSL turnovers were Billiken steals, a season high for SLU. Jamesia Price and Jasmin Samz (career high) collected three thefts apiece, tying the team's individual season high.
--Saint Louis equaled its season high with seven 3-pointers.
--The Bills shot 45.9 percent from the field while limiting UMSL to 22.8 percent.
--Jamesia Price extended her double-digit scoring streak to 12 games with a game-high 11 points. Price was 5-of-6 from the field.
--Price's two steals moved her into sixth place on the Billikens' career list with 145.
--Sadie Stipanovich scored 10 points and hauled in seven rebounds, including a season-high four on the offensive glass.
--Denisha Womack grabbed a game-high-tying eight rebounds and chipped in a season-high three assists.
--Aaliyah Covington tallied career highs of nine points and two offensive rebounds.
--Jenny Vliet scored nine points on a SLU season-high three 3-pointers.
--Jordyn Frantz had career highs of five points, two blocks and two steals.
--Tara Dusharm scored a career-high six points.
--In addition to her three steals, Jasmin Samz registered her first field goal as a Billiken.
