THE BASICS
Saint Louis rallied from a 23-point second-half deficit and pulled within three of the lead late, but UT Martin hung on for an 82-76 victory over the Billikens Wednesday night at Chaifetz Arena.
The Billikens fall to 5-4 overall, while the Skyhawks improve to 4-7.
Miles Reynolds led the Billikens with a season-high 19 points. Milik Yarbrough posted his second-straight double-double with 10 points and 13 boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-- The Billikens were hot out of the gate, going on top 12-4 before the first media timeout.
-- UT Martin hit 8-of-15 from 3-point range in the first half in led by 13 at the break. Two 3-pointers came in the final seconds of the opening half, including a three-quarter court heave by Kedar Edwards at the buzzer.
-- The Billikens trailed by 23 with 12:50 remaining, their largest deficit of the game. SLU would go on a 14-0 run from that point and pulled within nine of the lead with less than eight minutes to go.
-- Later, the Billikens hit six-consecutive free throws and got a clutch 3-pointer from Marcus Bartley, and SLU's deficit was just three at 63-60 with five minutes left.
-- However, SLU was not able to get any closer to the lead the rest of the way and UT Martin hung on for the six-point win.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
-- Miles Reynolds was 11-of-12 from the charity stripe and 4-of-7 from the field en route to his 19 points. He also led the team with five assists and two steals.
--Â Milik Yarbrough's 13 rebounds were a season high. It was his fourth-career double-double and the third of the season.
-- Mike Crawford scored 12 points, while Davell Roby chipped in 11 for the Bills.
-- SLU's 32 3-point attempts were the most by a Billiken squad since they shot the three 36 times against Kansas State on Jan. 3, 2004.
-- UT Martin's 82 points are tied for the most points scored by an opponent at Chaifetz Arena. (Rhode Island, 1/19/13)

-- The Skyhawks had five players score in double figures; no one else scored ... Richard Lee led the way with 19 points … he was 5-of-5 from the field and 3-of-3 from the arc … Kedar Edwards posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
