HOW IT HAPPENED

--After Saint Louis jumped out to a 7-2 lead, Memphis used a 9-2 run to take an 11-9 edge. Jackie Kemph's 3-pointer and two Maddison Gits free throws put the Billikens in front 14-13 at the end of the first quarter.

--The Billikens came out on fire in the third quarter, drilling five 3-pointers and outscoring Memphis 23-9 to pull out to a 50-33 cushion.

--After SLU upped the lead to 52-33, Memphis used a 10-0 spurt to narrow the gap to 52-43. The Tigers pulled to within four, 61-57, with 11 seconds left, but Kemph sank two free throws to seal the victory.
