THE BASICS
--Miles Reynolds scored 14 points and Austin Gillmann registered a career-high 12, but Wichita State pulled away in the second half and came away with a 68-53 victory over Saint Louis Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena.
--Milik Yarbrough added 10 points for the Billikens, who fell to 4-3. Wichita State, which halted its losing streak at three, improved to 3-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
--A Reynolds 3-pointer staked Saint Louis to a 7-2 lead, but a 20-5 run put Wichita State on top 22-12.
--The Billikens answered with points on five consecutive possessions – six from Reynolds and four from Davell Roby – to narrow the Shockers' lead to 26-22.
--Later, Gillmann's trey completed a 13-4 run that drew Saint Louis to within a point, 26-25, with 1:43 left in the first half.
--Wichita State tallied the last six points of the half to carry a 32-25 advantage to the locker room.
--The Shockers continued the momentum in the second half, scoring on their first five and eight of their first 10 possessions to lead 49-33.
--Wichita State did not allow Saint Louis to draw closer than 13 the rest of the way. The Shockers built the margin to 22 before settling for the 15-point victory.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
--Reynolds' 14-point effort included a 7-of-8 performance from the foul line.
--Gillmann connected on a career-high three 3-pointers (3-of-4).
--Roby scored eight points, collected a team-high five rebounds and led the Billikens with a career-high five assists.

WICHITA STATE LEADERS
Ron Baker, 14 points, six rebounds; Zach Brown, 14 points; Shaquille Morris, 12 points, six rebounds; Fred VanVleet, 11 points, seven assists, three steals.
