ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis dropped a 78-50 decision to George Mason Saturday night in an Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball matchup at Chaifetz Arena.
SLU falls to 11-18 overall and 3-13 in A-10 play, while George Mason improves to 9-19 and 4-12 in the league. The 28-point loss is SLU's largest margin of defeat at Chaifetz Arena.
Davell Roby and Reggie Agbeko tied for team-high honors with 10 points apiece. Agbeko established career highs in points and field goals (four, tied). Roby added a game-high three steals.
Milik Yarbrough chipped in eight points and Austin Gillmann had seven for the Billikens, who had more turnovers (14) than assists (12).
George Mason had four scorers in double figures, led by Isaiah Jackson. The Patriots shot a sizzling 60.9 percent from the field, which included a 71.4 percent mark in the first half as Mason built a 19-point halftime lead and never looked back.
Saint Louis is back in action Wednesday night at Chaifetz Arena when it takes on St. Bonaventure. Tip time is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be televised on Fox Sports Midwest.
