THE BASICS
--Jackie Kemph scored a game- and career-high 28 points, but St. Bonaventure walked away with an 80-59 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Saint Louis Wednesday night at the Reilly Center.
--The Billikens fell to 18-6 overall and 8-3 in the A-10. St. Bonaventure, which shot 55 percent overall and 53 percent (10-of-19) from 3-point distance, improved to 20-4, 9-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
--After Saint Louis scored the first field goal, St. Bonaventure went on a 12-0 run to take a 12-2 lead.
--The Billikens cut the margin to nine, 15-6, before the Bonnies closed the first quarter with an 8-2 spurt to lead 23-8.
--SLU opened the second quarter with an 8-3 run to trim the St. Bonaventure lead to 26-16.
--The Bonnies responded by scoring on six straight and 10 of their last 12 possessions in a 21-6 flurry that put them on top 47-22 at intermission.
--St. Bonaventure led 63-40 after three quarters.
--The Billikens cut the lead to 16 points on two occasions in the fourth quarter.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
--Jackie Kemph's 9-of-19 shooting effort included a career-high four 3-pointers (4-of-9) and a 6-of-6 performance from the free throw line.
--Olivia Jakubicek led all players with a season-high 10 rebounds, including a SLU season-high six offensive boards.
--Jakubicek also had a team-high three assists, tying her season high.
--The Billikens were 13-of-14 from the free throw line.
--Saint Louis committed just nine turnovers, tying their season low vs. an A-10 opponent.
