Saint Louis FC to Play at Hermann Stadium

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University's Robert R. Hermann Stadium will be the site of an exhibition match between Saint Louis FC and Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday, March 18, at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available online for $11 apiece here. They can be purchased at the ticket gate the day of the game for $13.

“We look forward to hosting Saint Louis FC and the St. Louis soccer community on campus March 18,” SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. “The passion of soccer fans in St. Louis is unmatched, so it is sure to be a tremendous atmosphere at Hermann Stadium.”

“We are excited to continue our tradition of playing local preseason games, especially downtown in the city,” STLFC President Patrick Barry said. “Being able to play another USL team in the preseason will be a good test as we finalize our preparations for a strong regular-season campaign.”

It will be the first time STLFC has played at Hermann Stadium against another USL opponent. STLFC has played the Billikens in several exhibition matches, including a match two weeks ago that saw SLU come out ahead 1-0.

STLFC features former Billiken Tyler David on the roster. Additionally, assistant coach Tim Leonard is a former Billiken, and team CEO Jim Kavanaugh played soccer at SLU.

Hermann Stadium, the home of SLU men's and women's soccer since 1999, has hosted numerous clubs in recent years. It has become the primary training ground for teams who travel to St. Louis for international competitions, including Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, Real Madrid, the U.S. Women's National Team and the Bosnian National Team.
