Billikens Fall to VCU in Overtime

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis fell 75-74 to VCU in overtime Tuesday in Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball action at Chaifetz Arena.

SLU dips to 10-11 on the year and 3-5 in A-10 play. VCU improves to 13-8 and 5-3 in the league.

The Billikens, who did not trail in regulation, let a 12-point second-half lead slip away. VCU's De'Riante Jenkins hit a 3-pointer with four seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

Junior guard Javon Bess and junior forward D.J. Foreman led the Billikens with 20 points apiece.

Freshman guard Jordan Goodwin registered his third double-double in as many games with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman forward Hasahn French finished with a career-high 13 rebounds and added seven points. Also scoring in double figures was Davell Roby, who finished with 12 points.

The Billikens are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Dayton at Chaifetz Arena. Game time is 3 p.m. and it will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
