Davidson scored twice in the fourth quarter to post a 2-0 Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey victory over Saint Louis on Friday in Davidson, N.C.
SLU slips to 0-12 overall and 0-6 in A-10 play with the loss, while Davidson improves to 3-12 and 1-5 in the league.
The Billikens had a spirited effort, out-shooting the Wildcats 8-5 and owning a 5-3 advantage in penalty corners. But Davidson grabbed the first goal of the game in the 53rd minute, then added a late insurance tally to post the victory.
Emily Wastell and Erin McClellan had three shots apiece. All three of Wastell's shot were on goal.
The Billikens play at Appalachian State on Sunday, Oct. 20, and Longwood on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
