ABOUT THE MATCH

-- Saint Louis hits the road for a critical Atlantic 10 Conference match on Saturday, facing the Duquesne Dukes in Pittsburgh in a 6 p.m. (CT) kickoff.

-- The match will be streamed live on ESPN+. Live statistics are available here

A-10 RACE

-- Saint Louis (5-1 in A-10) sits in second place in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Most teams have two games remaining, except for first-place Rhode Island (6-1 in A-10) who closes league play on Saturday against Davidson (2-4 in A-10).

-- The Billikens need a win on Saturday to keep pace with URI. SLU owns the tie breaker against Rhody, as SLU defeated Rhode Island earlier this year at Hermann Stadium.

-- Duquesne (3-3 in A-10) is in a four-way tie for sixth in the league standings. Only the top eight teams in the 13-team A-10 advance to the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer Championship.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

-- Saint Louis looks to snap a two-game skid. The Billikens are 9-5 overall and 5-1 in league play.

-- The Billikens are coming off a 3-0 loss at No. 6 Virginia on Tuesday night.

-- Senior forward Leo Novaes leads the Billikens in scoring with 17 points (6G, 5A). Senior midfielder Devin Boyce follows with 11 points (4G, 3A).

-- Freshman goalkeeper Patrick Schulte has a 1.06 goals against average and seven shutouts.

-- The Billikens were predicted by Atlantic 10 Conference head men's soccer coaches to finish second in the league race in the annual A-10 preseason poll. SLU received two first-place votes.

KALISH IN SECOND YEAR AS BILLIKENS' HEAD COACH

-- Kevin Kalish, a Saint Louis University alumnus and Billiken All-American, is in his second season on the Billikens' sideline.

-- The seventh head coach in the storied history of the SLU men's soccer program, Kalish previously served as Vice President and Missouri Boys Club Director for St. Louis Scott Gallagher. He also was head coach at SIU Edwardsville for six seasons (2008-13).

-- Kalish has an eight-year head coaching career record of 64-55-21. He is 15-9-7 in two years at SLU.

BILLIKEN FRESHMEN HONORED

-- Top Drawer Soccer recently released a list of the country's top 100 freshmen, and four Billikens were recognized.

-- Defender Kipp Keller was tabbed as the third-best freshman in the country, while goalkeeper Patrick Schulte is the top freshman goalkeeper in the nation and 12th-ranked player overall.

-- Defender Mujeeb Murana is ranked 27th overall, while forward Stefan Stojanovic is 38th.

SCOUTING DUQUESNE

-- The Dukes enter Saturday's match 8-6-1 and 3-3 in league play.

-- Manel Busquets leads the Dukes with 18 points (7G, 4A). Jack Shearer is second on Duquesne with five goals, while Zach Hall has four.

-- Goalkeeper Robbie McKelvey, a two-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 3 & 23), has 67 saves in 15 games with a 1.03 goals against average.

-- Duquesne won a school record six-straight games earlier this season.

-- Head coach Chase Brooks is in his seventh season at Duquesne.

-- The Billikens own a 10-0-1 record all-time against the Dukes.
