Kent Hits From Long Range, Bills Win Third Straight

Saint Louis freshman Rachel Kent went 5-for-6 from behind the arc on her way to 19 points, as the Billikens defeated Northern Kentucky 67-42, improving to 3-0 on the season.

SLU started out hot, jumping ahead to a 10-0 lead, forcing an early Norse timeout. Kent's third three-pointer late in the period made it 17-4, and the Billikens held a 19-6 lead at the end of the quarter.

Kent went 5-for-5 from the field, 3-for-3 from long range, in the period, netting 13 points and two rebounds.

Northern Kentucky outscored Saint Louis 17-12 in the second half, but the Bills took a 31-23 advantage into the locker room.

The Norse again pulled within eight late in the third, but the Billikens ended the quarter on a 9-0 run and took a 51-33 lead into the fourth.

Sophomore Ciaja Harbison led the way for the Bills, scoring seven of her 19 points in the period.

Senior Kendra Wilken recorded seven fourth quarter points, and the Billikens went on to defeat Northern Kentucky 67-42.

Kent finished with career-highs of 19 points and seven rebounds.

Harbison tallied 19 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 at the line, four assists and three rebounds.

Wilken collected 15 points and eight rebounds.

Sophomore Brooke Flowers blocked three Norse shots, along with recording seven points, eight rebounds and two assists.

The Billikens hit the road again this weekend, visiting Vanderbilt for a Sunday afternoon contest.
