Three Saint Louis University volleyball student-athletes earned Atlantic 10 Conference postseason honors as announced by the league office Thursday.
Senior OH Sien Gallop was named to the All-Conference first team, while junior OH Maya Taylor and junior S Kennedy Cordia earned All-Conference second-team nods. Cordia was also voted onto the All-Academic team.
Gallop received a first-team honor for the second time in her career (2017), as she ranked third in the A-10 this season in conference matches only with 208 kills (3.71 per set). She was second on the Billikens and fifth in the conference in kills overall with 342 (3.32 per set).
The Marquette Invitational All-Tournament team member was also top five on the team in digs (second, 313), service aces (third, 24), blocks (fourth, 31) and assists (fifth, 24).
Taylor was a two-time A-10 Offensive Player of the Week award winner this season, who was was also named to three All-Tournament teams. She ranked fourth in the A-10 in league matches only with 202 kills (3.61 per set), while sitting third overall for the season with 372 (3.92 per set).
The junior OH recorded her 1,000th career kill against Rhode Island on Oct. 18.
Corida, also a two-time A-10 Offensive Player of the Week award winner, led the conference in A-10 matches only in both assists (568) and service aces (25). For the season, she ranked second in assists (989) and first with aces (48).
The St. Louis native sits fifth in Billikens history with 2,560 career assists. She surpassed the 2,000-assist milestone on Sept. 27.
The Billikens will compete as the No. 3 seed in the A-10 Tournament, facing off with sixth seeded Davidson on Friday in Rhode Island.
