Four Saint Louis players scored double figures in the team's 76-61 win over Southeast Missouri State Tuesday night. The win improved the Billikens to 6-2 on the year, while the Redhawks fell to 4-2.
SLU used a 9-0 run midway through the first quarter to score a season-high 23 points in the period. Sophomore Brooke Flowers led the way with eight points in the quarter. She finished the night with her first double-double on the season and ninth in her career, gathering 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Led by freshman Rachel Kent, the Billikens followed that up with a 22-point second quarter to take a 45-33 lead into the locker room at halftime. Kent hit four 3-pointers on the night, increasing her team-lead to 22 on the season. She recorded 17 points, five rebounds, one steal and one assist in the game.
The Billikens began the third quarter on a 8-0 run, including senior Kendra Wilken scoring her 15th point for the fourth straight game, fifth overall on the season. The senior wrapped up the night third on the team with 16 points, along with eight rebounds and four assists.
SEMO negated the run by the Billikens, outscoring them 18-17 in the quarter and bringing the score to 62-51 in favor of SLU.
Sophomore Ciaja Harbison scored seven of her team-leading 19 points in the fourth quarter, and the Billikens came away with the 76-61 victory.
Harbison finished with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting, along with five assists and three steals.
