THE BASICS

• Jordyn Frantz scored a game-high and career-high-tying 23 points to lead four Saint Louis players in double figures, and the Billikens held off La Salle 69-58 Sunday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena to post a fourth straight home victory.

• Frantz also matched her career high of five 3-pointers. She added five rebounds, a game-high-tying four assists, two steals and a block for the Billikens (11-13, 6-5 Atlantic 10). Frantz committed just one turnover in 39 minutes.

• Ciaja Harbison tossed in 13 points to go with seven rebounds, four assists and a game-high three steals. Kerri McMahan matched her season best of 12 points to go with five rebounds and four assists.

• Kendra Wilken's 12 points equaled her season best in an A-10 game, and she tied her career high of seven rebounds. Evan Zars pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds, a total that matched her career high and included a game- and career-high seven offensive boards.

• La Salle slipped to 4-21, 1-10.

FIRST HALF

• A Frantz 3-pointer gave Saint Louis its largest first-quarter lead, 8-4, with 5:21 left.

• La Salle outscored SLU 7-3 the rest of the period to forge an 11-11 tie.

• The Explorers took a 15-13 lead with 6:52 remaining in the second quarter, but the Billikens answered with a 7-0 run to go in front 20-15 with 3:41 left. Frantz scored five of the seven points.

• Another Frantz triple gave the Bills their largest first-half advantage, 27-21, just inside a minute. Saint Louis led 27-22 at intermission.

THIRD QUARTER

• Kerri McMahan's early layup stretched the margin to seven before La Salle scored on its next three possessions to trim the SLU lead to 29-28.

• The Billikens used a 7-2 spurt, including five points from Wilken, to create a 36-30 lead midway through the period. La Salle tallied eight of the next 11 points, and it was 39-38 Saint Louis at the 3:14 mark.

• SLU caught fire after that. Four different players scored during a 12-2 flurry, with three steals leading to the final six points, and the Billikens were on top 51-40.

• A late La Salle 3-pointer made it 51-43.

FOURTH QUARTER

• It was 51-47 following two quick La Salle buckets, but Frantz buried her fifth 3-pointer to put Saint Louis ahead by seven.

• The lead floated between four and eight points until La Salle made it a one-possession game, 60-57, at the 2:04 mark.

• SLU failed to score on its next possession, but Harbison turned a steal into a layup for a 62-57 lead with 1:08 remaining.

• Three more defensive stops followed, and the Billikens salted away the game from the foul line.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• The Billikens' 49-36 rebounding advantage included an 18-8 edge on the offensive glass. The 18 offensive rebounds are a SLU season high.

• Saint Louis' 69 points are a season high vs. an A-10 opponent.

• The Billikens registered a season-high 36 free throw attempts.

• Tasia Jeffries came off the bench to score eight important points, including two 3-pointers.
