Game Notes SLU | Rhode Island | Atlantic 10

Saint Louis heads to Rhode Island on Sunday for a crucial matchup involving two 20-win teams and Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship seeding implications.

The Billikens and Rams tip at 1 p.m. (CT) on ESPNU. Mike Corey and Mark Plansky will call the action. The radio broadcast will be carried on 101 ESPN. As always, Billiken Hall of Famers Bob Ramsey and Earl Austin Jr. will be on the radio call.

Saint Louis is 20-8 overall, 9-6 in the A-10. A win Sunday would vault the Billikens into a three-way tie for fourth place in the league standings with St. Bonaventure and Duquesne.

Rhode Island enters the game 20-7 overall and 12-3 in the league. A win for the Rams would put them in second place all alone in the league standings.

The top four teams in the A-10 receive a double bye into Friday's action at the 2020 A-10 Championship March 11-15 in Brooklyn, giving them a path of having to win three games in three days for the title. Seeds 5-10 begin the Championship on Thursday. Seeds 11-14 begin play on Wednesday.

Here are five additional facts in advance of Sunday's game against Rhode Island:

1 // Jordan Goodwin and Hasahn French are the only teammates in the NCAA averaging a double-double. Goodwin leads the team with 15.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg, while French averages 12.4 ppg and 10.2 rpg.

2 // The last Billiken to average 10 or more rebounds in a season was Anthony Bonner (13.8 rpg, 1989-90). SLU has not had two players average 10 or more rebounds in a season since 1967-68.

3 // Hasahn French enters the Rhode Island game needing six more blocked shots to surpass Willie Reed's single-season school record of 73 rejections.

4 // The Billikens have shot 50 percent or better from the field in four straight A-10 games for the first time in school history.

5 // Over the last four games, Javonte Perkins is shooting 66.7 percent from the field (30-45), 66.7 percent from 3-point range (10-15) and 82.6 percent from the line (19-23).

Up Next: Saint Louis remains on the road to face George Mason in Fairfax, Virginia, on Wednesday, March 4, at 6 p.m. (CT). That game will be shown exclusively on ESPN+.
