Saint Louis is the No. 4 seed for the 2020 Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Basketball Championship and will host No. 13 George Mason in a first-round game Tuesday, March 3. Tip time at Chaifetz Arena is 7 p.m.
With a win over George Mason, the Billikens (17-12, 9-7 A-10) would advance to the quarterfinals to take on the winner of No. 5 Massachusetts (19-10, 9-7) and No. 12 St. Bonaventure (7-22, 4-12) Friday, March 6, at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The quarterfinal game tips at 1 p.m. (CT).
Saturday's semifinals and Sunday's final also will be played at UD Arena. The winner of the A-10 Championship earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
Teams that finished third through eighth host first-round games Tuesday. Besides Saint Louis-George Mason, other matchups are No. 14 Saint Joseph's at No. 3 Fordham; No. 12 St. Bonaventure at No. 5 Massachusetts; No. 11 Rhode Island at No. 6 Duquesne; No. 10 La Salle at No. 7 Davidson; and No. 9 Richmond at No. 8 George Washington.
Dayton, winner of the A-10 regular season, is the No. 1 seed, and VCU is the No. 2. Both received first-round byes.
In its regular season game vs. George Mason (9-20, 3-13), Saint Louis took down the Patriots 64-51 Feb. 9, in Fairfax, Va. The Billikens are coming off a 78-66 loss against Dayton, while GMU fell 64-59 to La Salle in its regular-season finale.
All first-round and quarterfinal games will be streamed live on ESPN+. The semifinal contests on Saturday (10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. CT) will be televised by CBS Sports Network, and Sunday's title game (11 a.m. CT) will be on ESPNU.
