Kendra Wilken recorded her fifth double-double, including a career-best 23 points, to lead Saint Louis to a 63-48 win over Saint Joseph's Thursday night.
Wilken also tallied 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal for the Billikens (13-9, 5-4 A-10).
Sophomore Myia Clark added 12 points, while Ciaja Harbison dished out a game-high five assists, along with eight points and five rebounds.
Myriama Smith Traore recorded seven points and eight rebounds, and Brooke Flowers contributed seven points and five rebounds.
Katie Mayock led Saint Joseph's (8-14, 2-8 A-10) with 12 points, while Lula Roig grabbed seven rebounds, along with seven points.
The Billikens out-rebounded the Hawks 48-28 on the night, including snatching 15 on the offensive glass.
After the Billikens scored the first two points of the game, Saint Joseph's collected 10 of the next 12 to hold a 10-4 advantage. At the end of the first quarter, the Hawks led 12-8.
Saint Louis went on a 12-5 run to start the second period, capped off by Wilken sinking a free throw on an and one, to jump ahead 20-17. A Harbison 3-pointer put the Billikens up 26-22 at the half.
A quick 6-0 run to begin the third gave SLU a 10-point lead at 32-22. The Billikens were able to extend their advantage to 15 points at 39-24. Saint Joseph's answered with an 8-0 run, pulling them back within seven at 39-32. Saint Louis responded with a 5-0 run of its own and eventually led 46-35 at the end of the third quarter.
A Rachel Kent 3-pointer gave Saint Louis its biggest lead of the game at 63-45 with 1:38 remaining. The Billikens went on to defeat the Hawks 63-48.
Saint Louis will hit the road for its next two contests, beginning with a 1 p.m. (CST) tip off at George Mason, Feb. 9. The game will be streamed to ESPN+.
